The Health and Social Care Act 2012 has eased the way for further privatisation of the NHS. The Coalition government has paved the way for NHS hospital trusts to spend 49% of their efforts and resources for private patients and is now proposing that high profile NHS hospitals should set up profit making branches abroad.
